Winter/Fall 2018: (Coming back soon)
New Yiddish Rep presented Hanoch Levin's "The Labor of Life", directed by Ronit Muszkatblit, focusing on an unhappy, three decades-long marriage in which the self-pitying, sadistic husband tries, but fails, to leave his loyal wife every night.
Sholem Asch’s “God of Vengeance,” which was being given a timely revival by the New Yiddish Rep at LaMaMa, tells the story of Yankl, a pious Orthodox Jew, who makes his living in what remains a highly unorthodox profession.
Another chance to see Hanoch Levin’s classic, in Yiddish with English supertitles.
